About the forecast methodology:
The website www.forecastation.com hosts an equity price forecasting demonstration platform, which showcases the neural network engine’s application in financial instrument forecasting. It provides the insight observed by the computer algorithm in each specific stock price pattern, and the resulting projection by the computer based on that observation.
The forecast engine that Forecastation uses to generate the stock price forecasts was built on the principle of pattern recognition. For each stock price pattern, the forecast engine analyzes the unique price movements within each price pattern, and projects out the future price pattern based on the best estimation from the forecast engine, given the historical price pattern up now.
Management
Jim Yeh, Ph.D. CFA, President and
Jim is a senior professional in the field of financial engineering and risk modeling. Jim spend most of his 20 years of career in the financial service industry. Jim’s broad and diverse experience spans across investment banking, fixed income trading, primary market fixed income issuance, secondary market making, securities portfolio risk management, and consumer credit portfolio risk management.
Prior to his current role at Forecastation, Jim was the Executive Vice President of the Secondary Market for Bank of America. Jim was in charge of best execution of asset sales for Bank of America’s significant monthly production of mortgage loans. Before his assignment at Bank of America, Jim was with Credit Suisse for 7 years, where he was responsible for the issuance commercial real estate loans in Asia, syndication of credit default swaps, primary issuance of fixed income securities in Japan, and secondary market trading of bonds and hedging instruments in Asia, as well as securities and whole loan portfolio managements in the United States.
Jim holds his Ph.D. in Operation Research from the University of California at Berkeley, and is also a member of New York Society of Security Analyst (NYSSA) and a member of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
